What I have noticed in the past few weeks are the phantom push notifications. Notifications of Garage being open, or doors open when they aren’t. When I check the logs there is no indication the devices are reporting falsely, but rather the problem seems to be with the push notifications themselves.
Yes… what I described above were notifications as well, but checking the status in the app showed the door as open or stuck on opening. Checking the MyQ app always shows the correct status.
In general, things have been working better, but now I have had two episodes where I arrived home and there was no geofence notification and my lights were all on (system is set to turn off cycling lights when I get home.) I start SmartThings on my iPhone 6 and all I see is a photo of a landscape. The program doesn’t load; there is no menu, only this strange landscape, which is not the photo of my garden that I use in the program. I exit the program, load it again and it works, senses the iPhone location and turns all the lights that are on off. Pretty strange.

Thanks, that’s exactly what I have going on. Unfortunately, the long discussion isn’t that illuminating, no one seems to know the cause. Since this sunny screen is nowhere to be seen during normal operation of the app, as far as I can tell, I assume it’s part of some unused spaghetti code lying around, though you don’t usually have that type of problem with smartphone apps. It is a strange phenomenon because normally I don’t run STs on the phone, so it’s only running in background mode sensing the geofence. When it doesn’t sense the geofence and I start the app, that’s when I see the sunny screen. And it’s fixed the next time it opens. However, when I’m on vacation, who knows what’s happening? Until there is a fix, I’ll have to check the app from time to time when I’m away, to see if it’s actually working.
This was supposed to be fixed with the most recent version of the iOS app, 1.7.2.
Is that the version that you have?
