Looking for some help on making sure my mesh WiFi pucks are set in good places, and I’m not shorting myself. I see in the app where it shows connection strength to each puck, but I assume that’s my devices connection to each one? How do I know if each puck is getting a good connection to its own network, or if I can extend it a little further out.
Are you referring to the latest SmartThings WiFi Mesh system?
i.e., the one with the Plume App?
The Plume App is great and will show the signal strength between pucks, as well as to each WiFi device connected to each puck.
Plume uses not only the signal strength, but also the estimated throughput requirements to help steer WiFi devices to the optimal puck.
