SmartThings Link support for Nexus Player?

Hi,

I’ve got a Nexus Player and a SmartThings Link. I’ve side loaded the SmartThings for NVIDIA SHIELD TV android app to the Nexus and plugged the Link in via an OTG cable. When I launch the app, it says "Your Android TV is not supported to use SmartThings. Is there any plan to enable support for the platform?

And while we’re at it, what about the Fire TV?

We don’t have plans to support any other set top box at this time. There is software that is custom to the Nvidia Shield, so sideloading won’t help you.
