SmartThings hub V3 choosing generic (ST) driver over custom EDGE driver for some time since the installation

Hi, @Gabriel_Frost. I think this is related to an issue reported here: Edge Zigbee Device Fingerprint Matching - #24 by MartynWendon
So, I would like to include your case in the same report to verify they are similar, to do so, I have a couple of questions:

  1. In your tests, did you only install the driver from the invitation link or the CLI as well (I mean using the code to upload it directly to your hub)
  2. By “generic driver”, do you mean it’s connected as Zigbee or Z-Wave thing? If not, which driver was getting matched to the device?
This is important because the Zigbee and Z-Wave generic fingerprints are in the last step of the fingerprint match logic which means that your device couldn’t match any of the generic fingerprints that use its supported Clusters (Zibgee) or Command-Classes (Z-Wave) as a reference to match the device.

Could you help us replicate the issue and share the following info to include in the report, please?

  1. Provide the Hub logs (after replicating the issue) by following these steps:
  1. In the Advanced Users app, enter the “Hubs” section
  2. Enter the corresponding Hub and click on “Dump Hub logs”
  3. Confirm the process by clicking on “Dump Hub logs” again in the pop-up.
  4. You’ll get a green box at the top confirming the Hub logs were requested
  1. Take note of the time when you replicate the issue and share it with us to find the corresponding logs. For example: 2024/03/07 14:55 CST
  2. Confirm the email account registered in the forum is the same one you use for SmartThings. If not, please share it with me over DM
  3. Enable support access to your account:
  1. Go to the SmartThings Web (my.smartthings.com)
  2. Log in to your Samsung Account
  3. Select Menu (⋮) and choose Settings
  4. Toggle on Account Data Access
  5. Select the time period and confirm - In this step, please select “Until turned off”, once the team finishes, we’ll let you know so you can disable it again.
