@jkp thanks so much ..that seemed to work..I’ve reset a number of times until solid orange light … @Itati can you try again to get my welcome code now that it’s successfully reset hopefully
Unfortunately, the reset was not successful, and the device still has a CLAIMED status.
The engineering team has informed us that if performing the reset is not possible, it is highly likely to be a hardware issue with the device. Please try resetting it once again
Hi @Itati, I realised when I got the hub that the previous owner had left batteries on the device which leaked battery corrosion… this has leaked into motherboard so I’ve cleaned this and managed to get a green light…so could you check one more time if the hub has now been reset correctly? I checked your Hub again, and it still appears as claimed in the SmartThings system.
This means it’s still associated with an existing account.
If you still have the option to return or exchange the device, I strongly recommend doing so, as this issue cannot be resolved remotely.

I reviewed your Hub, and it appears as ‘CLAIMED.’ This means it is already installed on the SmartThings platform, and you won’t be able to claim it with another account. Here are some instructions to reset the Hub:
- Connect the Hub via ethernet
- Then, follow the steps to factory reset it. Here’s a link that has the instructions for different models:
