Hi, can you help me with they welcome code? s/n 3000268965
Hi @s3r610
I sent you through a DM
Hi, @James_Burnham
I sent you a DM, please check your inbox and let me know if you have any questions.
I reviewed your Hub, and it appears as ‘CLAIMED.’ This means it is already installed on the SmartThings platform, and you won’t be able to claim it with another account. Here are some instructions to reset the Hub:
- Connect the Hub via ethernet
- Then, follow the steps to factory reset it. Here’s a link that has the instructions for different models:
Factory reset or reboot your SmartThings Hub

Hi there,
I’ve just bought a second hand STH ETH 200 hub with no welcome card. The serial is 4000139120. Can you please send me my code? Many thanks

Hi @Itati, thanks for checking. I’ve been looking at other posts and so I attempted to reset earlier. The issue I am having is that when I plug in, there is sometimes no led and other times there is a solid red led. When I hold red button for 30 seconds nothing happens and I never get a solid orange led. Is there something I need to do extra or is there an additional problem with this hub? Thanks in advance
For the V2 hub:
-
remove any batteries
-
Unplug power cord
-
Leave Ethernet cable connected
-
Press reset button and then reconnect power cord
-
When led light is solid yellow, you can stop pressing the reset button
Unfortunately, the reset was not successful, and the device still has a CLAIMED status.
The engineering team has informed us that if performing the reset is not possible, it is highly likely to be a hardware issue with the device. Please try resetting it once again
Hi @Itati, I realised when I got the hub that the previous owner had left batteries on the device which leaked battery corrosion… this has leaked into motherboard so I’ve cleaned this and managed to get a green light…so could you check one more time if the hub has now been reset correctly? Many thanks
Hi,
I checked your Hub again, and it still appears as claimed in the SmartThings system.
This means it’s still associated with an existing account.
If you still have the option to return or exchange the device, I strongly recommend doing so, as this issue cannot be resolved remotely.
Can anyone help me with the welcome code? Serial number: 3000384051.
Thank you so much.
