v1.26135.3.0 2026/06
- Bug fix.
Is this fixed?
I recommend that no one use this Windows App.
It can do anything to the SmartThings. It usually just messes up the tiles layout made by the ST Phone App.
The previous version added a new location for me. Didn’t ask anything, but suddenly a new location appeared.
Probably an AI-implemented App by SmartThings.
Wish they put more efforts in the web interface instead (my.smartthings.com) and the AWA.
Native dashboards would be awesome.
Map view in the web interface too.
Meanwhile vibe coders are doing this in a day. With AI there’s no excuse anymore (except gatekeeping and vanity of the developers).
Don’t know if this was developed from the ground up, though. Home Assistant already have the possibility to customize dashboards built in.
Well, and budget ![]()

did you look at locations in the Advanced Web App? It provides more details.
I didn’t think there would be any reason of checking the Advanced Web App. The hub has only ever had one location with the same name since I brought it online, and I have not ever created, renamed or deleted any other location on it in the entirety of its existence, either.
I haven’t dared to remove the extra location. There is no information on what will happen.
The first location I created, two years before I bought my first SmartThings Hub.

My Home but in Finnish language
Extra location

I use the English version of Windows.
login to the AWA. In locations, In the Locations section the list will provide more details such as number of devices. You can also click on the Location name to see more info including Rooms and Events. I bet the Duplicate one does not have all that. The one that may not have anything attached to it or very little - is the duplicate. Rename it. Go back to your windows app, logout and login… check to see which shows as the default location. if it is the duplicate, try switching to see what happens. If the correct location is the one showing as the default, you can most likely delete the duplicate one you renamed. Your Call or wait until someone else does it or contacts Support. It could be the Windows app requires the duplicate Location.

Oh I did. To me it was no different to the default account that gets created when you first use a SmartThings account with the mobile app.
I can’t remember which account I use for SmartThings on Windows but if it is my personal account I am wondering if the app created the Location because it thought I didn’t have one, completely missing the point that it already had access to one owned by another user.
