I recently managed to open my Ring Intercom with SmartTag2 button. Did not find anything about it but it was so easy! Ring integration in SmartThings unfortunately does not support Ring Intercom door/unlock so i can’t trigger the opening directly via SmartThings. It needs a virtual device that Alexa app can see with the SmartThings skill and two routines: first one in smartthings app that chages the state of the virtual device after pressing smartag2 button; second one is Alexa routine triggered with that changing state and the action is the custom alexa command: “Open ” where device name is the name of the ring intercom name in the alexa app (remember to enable the door unlocking in alexa app). I searched online how to add a virtual device but the only way to do it seemed to be with the smarthing hub and edge drivers, so i purchased an used v3 hub and now it is on the way to my house BUT very randomly i dicovered that virtual devices can be easily added ONLINE via the web site SmartThings. Add a little smartness to your things. !!! Now i need to found some other way to use this hub
