Its irritating when you find out that Smart things is collecting data and sharing user preferences and activities with Samsung.

Yes it should be told to users, but I don’t understand your surprise. Every place you go on the Internet, and almost all apps you use collect info on your habits. And most shopping sites share that info.

We don’t share data about any individual household with anyone. When and if we enabled targeted advertising, you will be able to opt out. You can also opt out of certain data collection (Web browser and Mobile) right now at the bottom of the page I linked.

Their algorithm can crunch my habits into a result and all they’ll get is a printout “Lazy bum of little worth.”
