I’m new to home automation and in need of some help. I have a smart things v 3 hub and several Treat life Wi-Fi switches that connect through the smart life app.

What I want to do is control the treat life switch for the laundry Room with a Smart things motion sensor.

I have created virtual switches in the smart things hub and connected them via IFTTT with the smart life switches. I created four applets for each switch to turn them on and off, smartthings to smart life and smart life to smart things. I then created an automation in smartthings between the motion sensor and virtual switch. Motion detected triggers the light switch on. Here is where I get stuck. I can not get the motion sensor to trigger the light to turn off after X seconds of no motion. Is there anyway to do this?

SmartLife isn’t supported anymore by IFTTT. Try connecting your smartlife devices to another app such as brilliant, WyFy or Global suite.

I am currently using IFTTT to link my Smart Life switches to SmartThings virtual switches for on/off and dimming functionality with no problems. I even have one linked to turn my Smart Life fan switch on/off if SmartThings temperature sensor reaches a certain temperature. The only thing I cannot control in SmartThings are my Smart Life plugs unless I set up Smart Life scenes.
