Is is possible to have a routine run a smart app?

I don’t know if you can do it directly, but it’s easy to have a routine turn on a virtual switch and Have a smartapp subscribe to that switch event. 🕶

Hello,

Go it thanks, I found another way round. I created a new mode called Romantic and set the SmartApp to run when the mode was changed to romantic (Dims lights and Plays sonos).

Your way also sounds interesting

Thanks
Sam

Whatever works best for the particular use case. If you use a virtual switch, then you aren’t using up a mode. But if the only time you want it to happen is when you’re doing a mode change, then go for It. 😍 It’s easier to make the virtual switch specific to just one smart app. The mode is likely to affect a bunch of things. Both ways are useful.
