Had a power outage, now the thermostat is definitely dumb. Time is not being updated at all. I excluded , deleted and re-added. I cycled the power and the time is gone. Now it is just an temp up and temp down thermostat.
Sinope offered me a free GT-ISH hub. I’m using it to restore the time when I lose power and then add the devices back to SmartThings afterward. Hopefully, no routine or configuration is lost by doing this. It only took me a few minutes, but I still think having to do this manually in 2025 is quite stupid. As you said, neither support was helpful. Personally, I really think this is Sinope’s fault.
In my opinion, as a group, we should try to fix Jamer007’s driver to make it work with more devices, since some people seem to have been able to get it working with their thermostat model, If somebody already know where to begging with, I’m willing to participate if others are in as well.
I agree! We spent so much money on s thermostat that was supported with amazing features to only have it turned into nothing smart. The weather feature is on ST already. Not even sure how time got lost in all this. Ridiculous!
I am willing to try to get into the codes and see what works. I am not sure how to create the part where you can upload and install the new code.
We were able to edit this before ST locked it all down.
