What projects are you working on with SmartThings for the month of April?
Spring is here!

I’ve been modifying my Hue Lights and Groups and Scenes service manager to include being able to create, modify, and delete groups and scenes on the Hue Hub.
I’ve (finally) gotten the new functionality working, but still have a few bugs - namely, getting the service manager app to update the map of groups / map of scenes afterwards.

Building graphs into a few device handler displays to monitor usage.
I was trying to figure out how much time a few lights were spending on, so for the fun of it, I added a graph to the standard Cree Bulb device handler.
It uses the Google API for Image Charts. Sure they have new version that requires html5, but this older version sends a picture file like a png or gif, which I believe is more workable inside the smartthings app. It produces all kinds of nifty line, bar, pie, etc. charts. Send a query with data points…get a gif file back.
There doesn’t seem to be any signup or authorization with google required to make this work. (the links work fine from “incognito” browsing). I do use a poller to make the time based on/off collections…you can attach the “pollster” smartapp to this cree handler and tell it how often you want it to check on the l…

I am getting ready to release my first device handler.
Belgarion:
I decided it is time to dive into my first Groovy coding attempt (I have 25+ years of proprietary language coding experience, but no Java-like languages) with the intent of contributing to the community while having some fun with my 4 month old hobby/obsession named SmartThings! So, after looking through the 70+ devices I have that work with ST I realized I needed more of a challenge than simply changing an existing program… I needed something that was going to force me to actually learn how ST communicates. So, I took something that did not work well with ST… my Amcrest 720P PTZ Camera! Yes, there are some excellent camera device types out there already, but I wanted one tailor made to this camera and its feature set. So, using the excellent work done by @pstuart on his …
Hopefully this weekend.
