Almost makes me wonder if both sources are rebranding some other product and passing it off as a new one. It’s too close for a pre production product.
Well the Piper also has Z-wave. I don’t think the Canary did, did it?
I think the Canary is designed as an all in one, stand alone easy to use solution. The Piper is designed more as a SmartThings Hub with a lot of sensor’s built into the main component.
@cory. Maybe some of the guts but I’ve spoken to the guys at Canary and they’re building almost everything from scratch - they’ve been working n it for some time. It’s not that hard to get one of the Chinese shops to slap together something if you give them a rough idea of what you want.
