Setting Volume with Sonos Beam and Samsung TV-April 2026

As many of you know the Sonos sound output is generally higher from music than a TV fora given volume level, so there is need to adjust the sonos volume when switching from one source to another to avoid being “blown out” There are also delays when sending adjustments to Sonos (which I’ve accounted for). Also, the TV synch to Sonos has longer delays (which I have no control over). I previously had addressed this by switching the volume of group or speaker (I don’t recall which) volume to the low level at night when I shut all of the outlet power off for the night. This worked well for music but was too low for the TV and because of the TV delay could easily take a few minutes to change and then forcing a manual change to increase the volume. I decided to disable this a few weeks ago. Since then, there have been Sonos updates and ST updates. I later realized that I could set this low volume once at night and at a higher value when the TV power is enabled. So, I’ve tried to do this, I can see the nighttime volume is set as expected, but when the power is reenabled in the morning Sonos defaults to the prior setting and not the ST value, so the music (which I normally listen to earlier in the day than the TV) is way too loud. Has anyone exprerience3d this and/or have a suggestion how to ensure the ST value is bing used?
