My father wants a smartthings setup but lives across the country. Can I set up the hub, plugs, and bubs at my house then mail them across the country to him and have him just plug in and go?
As long as all of your devices are zigbee or Z wave and you are connecting the hub by ethernet (not Wi-Fi), yes. Not if your devices are Wi-Fi or you are connecting the hub by Wi-Fi.
