The Send Events to EventGhost SmartApp works great on Windows PCs, but I wanted something similar for triggering events on my Mac so I’ve written a plugin for HammerSpoon that’s compatible with the EventGhost SmartApp: https://github.com/c99koder/HS-EventGhostServer
The github README includes an example Lua script that speaks using Mac OS X speech synthesis when a door is opened, and locks your Mac when a virtual switch is enabled.
Now I can use SmartThings Routines to automatically lock my Mac when I leave home, or combined with IFTTT I can say “OK Google, lock my computer!”
