In order to get an accurate indication of my Schlage deadbolt lock/unlock status, I’ve been ”spamming” ( this is what ST called it ) it with a refresh command once a minute. ST said this was a terrible idea. I agree. It does give me an accurate picture of my lock state though. Does anyone have a better idea?
It won’t be as accurate, but what I do is poll the status when the door opens and closes (contact sensor).
