Schlage Connect keypad not working

Did you try entering the code in the keypad even though it doesn’t beep or light up? I purchased a lock off ebay once that had issues with the keypad not illuminating or beeping but it was still “working.” Some things burned out on the main board of the lock that caused the issue. It wasn’t the keypad itself that had the hardware issue because any keypad I connected to the lock behaved the same way.

I ran into this with the Fe599. A quick point here, some locks have the ability to turn off lights and beeps (the Fe599 can turn off beeps) through special configuration settings. Resetting the FE599 won’t restore it to factory defaults unfortunately, if you’re still using the lock try to enable the audio beeps through a driver or zwave tool or even directly on the lock itself from the configuration menu.

Yup. The keypad is D-E-A-D. Clearly, it’s a power issue. Something broke inside, not allowing power to the keypad or to the LED. If I had the schematics, I could probably isolate the connection quickly. The rest of the lock works fine, so “main” power is still connected.

I did. That wasn’t it. There’s no control on the app to do any of this for this lock. I can turn off beeps, but code should still work, right? It doesn’t.
