Samsung SmartThings Water Leak Sensor work with Vivint SkyPanel?

I had a Vivint system installed tow weeks ago. I was THRILLED when the installer said it used zwave and that it is a zwave hub. so does that mean I can buy Samsung SmartThings Water Leak Sensor (http://a.co/d/8TUxvUr) and SkyPanel will see it and monitor it? Or do I still have to get a SmartThings Hub?

Vivint’s water sensor is $70 each! I hate to pay that much if a Smartthings device will work as well.

I also want to know if you can buy SmartThings Video cameras that the Vivint Sky Panel will also see? So my main question I guess is how expandable and friendly is the Vivint SkyPanel Zwave hub with SmartThings?

SmartThings branded sensors use the zigbee wireless protocol, not z-wave.

And any cameras that work with ST aren’t z-wave devices either. Z-wave can’t handle the amount of data required for a video stream.

But you could presumably use other z-wave devices.
