Hi everyone. Not sure if this is the place to post. if there is is a better place. please let me know.
Anyway. I bought a Samsung Connect Home (ET-WV521) (looks like old stock. Was not used) when trying to configure the device using the SmartThings app it fails at 69% and then shows a screen with an 36-302 error code.
I searched a lot what that error means and could not find anything.
My suspicions is that the Connect Home firmware is outdated and that something changed server side for the setup process.
But can not update the firmware if the device is not set up, and can’t set it up without updating the firmware.
Probably i’m wrong and the issue is something else.
I’m having th same exact issue tried customer support for almost a month now no resolution…if you get any update please let us know…thanks [quote=“dvelezjimenez, post:1, topic:252100, full:true”]

Hi.
Managed to update it to a newer version.
A friend has an up to date Connect Home, We added my device as a Sub (mesh wifi) then the Main Connect Home prompted to update. It was updating the Sub device.
It did this several times until the FW version in the sub device was the same of the main device.
After doing that we removed it from being a sub device and could add it to my account.
So, confirmed that being in a outdated firmware version will cause error 36-302.
I am having the exact same issue with a newer model (ET-WV525). I have contacted Samsung Australia (where I live) and they are supposed to call me back in 48h advising what to do.
I don`t know anyone that uses the Smartthings hub to try to replicate your outcome, Daniel, so that probably will not work for me, I am glad it did for you.
hello i have the same problem with my wv521
I contact custom services and they are not very helpful.
then i go to samsung experience store and they tell me that this type of device is considered a appliance and they can’t do anything.
