Samsung Apps

Newbie in Smart home world. Bought the ST hub and haveit up and running. But I’m using two Samsung ST Apps and don’t understand the difference between the two. One has the six circles as an icon, the other is the Samsung Classic. Am i suppose to use one, the other or both for some specific reason?

We originally used the abbreviation STSC for “SmartThings (Samsung Connect)”, but that never caught on, so now we are calling it the V3 app since it came out with the V3 hub.
