Hello SmartThings Community,
Some Smart plugs out there have there own smart app feature of a “Maximum working time”. This basically means that when enabled the device would always turn off at a set countdown time regardless of any set schedules and regardless if turned on by app or manually outside if app.
Thankfully with SmartThings own “Routines” feature, we can easily replicate this same Max Working Time by simply setting a routine (image attached below).
However, I do feel that SmartThings could harness the existing Routines and highlight this possibility by giving all users a pre-defined preset named ‘maximum time device on’.
Then hints/pop-up prompts on the Routines screen to show that this is available and is intended for unattended device safety and energy bills measure.
