Does the swapping of device ids not work anymore or can I just not find it ?

It was before.
I’ve got a hazy recollection of being able to do that with the legacy IDE but if I’m not imagining it then I’ve certainly forgotten the details. It isn’t something we can do these days.

Yes , you could edit the device id and copy the replacement device id straight in. Shocking they have left this out.
