Since there doesn’t seem to be any Reolink-to-SmartThings integration out there (believe me, I’ve looked!), here’s my situation: I recently got myself a Reolink doorbell and would love it if a specific Samsung TV could automatically turn on and switch to a set source (say, HDMI 1) when someone rings the doorbell.
I tried setting this up with a Google Home ‘Routine’, but it’s taking 5 to 7 minutes after doorbell press for the TV to turn on, and set it to HDMI 1- which, of course, is about 6 minutes and 55 seconds too long for someone at the door!
I have a gigabit connection, and every other Google Home Routine is fairly instant. I’m hoping that if there’s a way to handle this directly through SmartThings, it might work a lot faster. Any ideas?
Glad you mentioned it - I’d already set up the Edge driver for testing HikVision cameras back in early 2023, so I just went ahead and tested it with the Reolink doorbell (v2). While I can log in via ONVIF, that’s about the extent of it. No additional information seems to be received; after login, there’s nothing further appearing in the SmartThings history.
Also, when trying to create a routine in SmartThings using the Reolink doorbell, there’s no option to trigger actions based on a ‘doorbell press’.

I would search that thread for people using Reolink cameras to see if they can help.
Maybe @jkp can offer some guidance.
Just sharing an update here in case it helps anyone in a similar situation. Although I couldn’t find a way to integrate Reolink directly with SmartThings, I had already connected Reolink to Google Home (which I previously mentioned).
Initially, I tested a routine (on Google Home) to turn on the TV when the Reolink doorbell was pressed. At first, there was a significant delay before the TV would power on.
However, without any changes on my end, the routine now works instantly - when the doorbell is pressed, the TV turns on right away and sets the source to HDMI 1 (in the case someone previously turned it off and left it on a different source). I’ve tested this consistently over the last three days, and it’s been immediate every time.
So, if anyone else is in a similar position, linking Reolink via Google Home could be a good alternative. (For reference, my Samsung TV is connected to Google Home through SmartThings.)
The only solution since Samsung and Google are extremely limited in their automations would be to dive into home assistant. It’s a bit of a learning curve but if you’re building a smart house there is no other alternative
I started off like you, wanting to see the security cameras/doorbell from my TV. I got it to work, but I didn’t like pausing what I was watching to switch to the driveway camera. I found an unused 1080p monitor that I wasn’t using and set it on top of my center channel speaker. I purchased a device called Netcamviewer Monitor and it pulls the RTSP stream from the cameras and uses HDMI to display the image streams in various modes like sequence, or monatge, or pip. It works well, I can always just look up and see the driveway or the front door. It stays on all the time. I am very interested in your reolink/google home setup as I have all reolink cameras (5). I would like to use the motion detector capability of the cameras to turn on Caseta controlled lights that my google Home can see.
I work at home and I also use a ffplay script to show the camera video on my RHEL 9 desktop.
