Thanks for that. Sadly I just want something simpler. I don’t want a set temperature for my Nest to default to or to make temporary changes with another program.
I was really hoping my thermostat would just understand the average temp for my house and then to follow my preset schedules (in increaments that might exceed 4 hours), and let me adjust with the main app, or even Nest itself.
I guess what I am really looking for is a Task in Core that lets me use a variable for what my thermostat thinks is the temperature. Which I am not sure is possible with the Device Type. But I will link this to the Core thread just in case.
