A couple more fun things for you to uncover with this great device handler and smartapp SmartLife RGBW Light (Connect)
- Programs. There are six you can setup as you see them in the device handler tiles. The device handler is where you can manually trigger each of the six programs BUT programs are not configured by clicking the config tile in the device handler but are setup within the smartapp SmartLife RGBW LIght (Connect) service manager. It is the one you used to discover the H801 to connect it to ST. Go back to that SmartLife RGBW Light (Connect) smartapp in your mobile app via Automation/SmartApps section and open it up to select your H801 you want to program. Then click “Configure Programs” to setup whichever Program tile you want programmed back in the device handler and however you want to configure the actions strings.
TIP: Here is a video on importing/exporting those actions strings. If you go back up to the original post you will see a paragraph on Program Strings. You have the ability to import those strings to give you some popular functions like Police Lights, etc.
- Virtual Device Sync; This is the companion app to this type of device handler. This smartapp that will automatically build the virtual switches and sync them with the physical device. This is so you can now have smartapps control each of the channels independently. See post 89.
