Could you call the app “Thermostat Manager” and keep the reference to Nest in this forum as well as the thingsthataresmart.wiki ? I dont think anyone will install a version of app without reading the corresponding forum post.

I would think they let you keep the reference to Nest in the app description - same as with all the other 3rd party “works with Nest” apps.

I am looking at a Gear app for Nest and they have done something similar:

Great info. I wasn’t aware of the new Mode Automation. I set that and also enabled the watchdog for it. Thanks for all of your help. Been loving this app for quite some time now.

Agree, I’m surprised they didn’t heap on a load of other restrictions like they did in the past too.
