Hi Guys, is there a clever way to integrate this with a hive thermostat? I currently have the hive and a energenie etrv in my living room. I have 2 etrv’s in 2 other rooms.

I want to control the hive thermostat based on the temperatures of the etrv. For example if my bedroom etrv to be set to 19 from 7:30pm in the evening. If my living room is already at 18 at this point, I need to turn off the living room etrv and set hive to a higher temperature…

There seems to be a lot of combinations and I am struggling to find a way to set this up. Can anyone else with a similar setup share their experience on how this can be setup?

I see the below error message for all the radiator valves in live logging. Any idea?

Any ideas, it’s been working fine for over 6 months. I’ve updated the App & DHs to the latest versions but still have the issue.

I use WebCoRE to set up pistons that do the leg work.

Basically I use one etrv as the master for my piston then have the following

If etrv heating set point is different to Hive heating set point, change all the etrv to the Hive heating set point.

I’ve worked around the 503 problem by rerunning the on/off function in 30 secs if it doesn’t work first time in the device handler e.g. in the def off() function:

if (resp.status != 200) {

	log.error("Unexpected result in off(): [${resp.status}] ${resp.data}")
    runIn (30, off)

}

Seems to be working but need to add checking so that it would only retry a given number of times and to stop the runIn(30,off) if an β€˜on’ is triggered and vice versa.

Has anyone had any issues adding a new device?
Been using Mihome and this smartthings work around for a while now, got 3 new plugs for the Mihome today. Everything added no problems in the Mihome app, and then again in the smartthings connected app. However the connected app won’t save and update the new plug (kitchen strips) to my devices.
Saying I need to fill out all fields?
Would appreciate any help or advice!

(Phil Pugh) #92

I have a new issue, I have added a new plug my setup. It is working via MiHome and Echo so the plug itself works fine but I can’t get this into ST.

The Connect App shows the new device but it doesn’t appear as a Thing - any ideas how to refresh this?

(James Scholes) #93

Have you clicked through to β€œChoose your devices” and selected it?

I had an issue where I’d removed and re-added a plug with the same name. Changing the name in MiHome, then manually removing the old one from ST and re-adding fixed it.

(Phil Pugh) #94

That’s done the trick thanks

(Mark C) #96

Is anyone having issues with automation. When ST sends multiple commands at the same time some arnt geting done

the two at 8.19.43 and the failure was the other way round

(Mark C) #97

any help would be appreciated, I have loged it with energine, they have said try resetting there hub so will try that tonight, there was a software update a few months ago, could that have broken it?

(paulhorti@hotmail.com) #98

I’m pretty sure that the problem started after the software update a couple of months ago. The work around that I put in seems to work well if you are not too bothered if the timing is delayed by a few minutes. I still find that occasionally things don’t turn on/off but I think that is a range issue.

(Mark C) #99

so
runIn (30, off)
or on works ok?

any help would be appreciated, I have loged it with energine, they have said try resetting there hub, it still persists (also the hub reset removed the recent firmware update so it not that)

(Mark C) #101

Ive had a play and after 30 no issues except a java concurrent issue
I tweeked the atomic count up to 10 (i have 9 device ) in the app
And in the device handers put a delay in refresh command. Runin (05, poll)

Good/bad idea?
Edit 10min later got a few 503 but not as many

(Mark C) #102

emailed energenie there response
"These errors are due to the problem we mentioned before. It is affecting some connections to the server and our server engineer is working to fix the problem. The 503 connection errors are also related tot his problem. We hope to have resolved this soon and thank you for your patience."

(Mark C) #103

Also was looking at my GH to add a device and mihome is there!! So can give mihome device commands directly though GH.
But you have to remove the from the google smartapp other wise you have two with the same name and she dosnt know which one.
Also no sign of etrvs or contacts so they will have to go through ST

(Brian Spranger) #104

What is Mi Home listed as under Google Home? I am not seeing it.
