(Daniel Åslund) #41

Have you figured out somethings why my outside temp are locket to 20 degrees same as the insider temp? Everything Elsie that i Have tried works fine!

(Ben Dews) #42

Hi All, on the roadmap for v1.3 at the moment:

  • Support for the outside temperature value
  • 1 Minute refresh option (really not recommended - my units make some strange mechanical noises when doing API calls so I am concerned with polling them that often)
  • Persisting Thermostat state when using the Switch on & off functions
  • Persisting Switch state (I.E switch shows as “on” when unit is on, “off” when unit is off

One thing I’m very excited about for the future:
SmartThings appears to be implementing a proper Air-Conditioner device type, with support for Dry/Fan-only modes etc. Safe to say when that is released I will be updating this to take full advantage.
https://smartthings.developer.samsung.com/develop/api-ref/capabilities.html#Air-Conditioner-Mode

@Danne_85 - I have not figured it out yet but working on some theories with some debugging help from @Robertino_Hermansson. Safe to say everything is working perfectly for me so it’s very strange that we’re having issues when people are using the exact same Daikin module.

(D Gjorgjievski) #43

Thanks for the efforts
I am having the same issues with the outside temperature. I admit I am not using the same wifi module as it is in the release description. I have already posted the http responses from my units in my messages above so if you want to check something I will be glad to do som tests this evening (i live in Belgium so evening is about 12 hours from now)

(Ben Dews) #44

Hi Everyone,

Version 1.3 has been released with all aforementioned features, and should fix almost all the issues people have been experiencing.

After installing the new version, please update the settings with the IP address of the unit again. If it still does not seem to work, please try deleting the device and creating a new one. If it still doesn’t work, let me know

(Davor Dooley) #45

Hi,
I did update handler, remove/add device, and still unable to get valid data in SmartThings app if changes are made through Daikin app.

Parsing Response: [ret:OK, pow:1 (0)] Looks to me like it’s something from cache…

(D Gjorgjievski) #46

Did you wait more than the device poll period?
I did change the settings via the Daikin app and it updated nicely in the smartthings app after few minutes

(D Gjorgjievski) #47

Great job @bendews

I tried 1 min poll on one unit and no strange sounds so far. Actually it would be strange if it is the opposite

(Nuno Martins) #48

Is it possible to Turn unit On/Off by pressing the main icon?

(Ben Dews) #49

When a mode is selected, the appropriate button will be highlighted, you can click the highlighted button to turn the unit off.

If the unit is already off, you can just click which mode you want the unit to turn on with.

For integration with other SmartThings automations (such as Smart Lighting and WebCoRE), it exposes the Switch On/Off functionality, which will turn the unit off or on.

(Daniel Åslund) #50

I have just update to the V 1.3 and everything seems to work very well on my device now, I have´t played araound so much yet but i got the tempreture outside and inside correct. So now i just have to make some routines that will involve the airconditioner  big thx @bendews good work!!!

(Davor Dooley) #51

Did you try it with ActionTiles? I’m unable to see some “important” modes, dry and fan only.

Can someone try it? Thx!

(Ben Dews) #52

Hi Davor, that’s a limitation of the SmartThings thermostat device type unfortunately  As mentioned a couple of posts up, it looks like SmartThings has a A/C Device Type in the works but it hasn’t been released yet (and would still need work from WebCoRE and ActionTiles developers before it could be used within those systems).

(Davor Dooley) #53

Thx!

#54

Thanx for making this @bendews looks really great!!

(Ben Dews) #55

Thanks @klauritzen! Feel free to report back if you run in to issues or have any ideas for improvements

(Cosmin Borodan) #56

Great job! you are awesome… thank you very much for your work. .

(Todd Brewster) #57

Just got this installed. Excellent. Only question is there a way to use Fahrenheit instead of Celsius for us backwards Americans?

(Ben Dews) #58

Hi Everyone,

Version 1.4 has been released with support for Fahrenheit. Please let me know if you run in to any issues or bugs

Thanks!

(Todd Brewster) #59

Thank you Ben. Works great!

(Alborz Amini) #60

Hi @bendews. Thanks for the device handler. Does this work with Daikin Envi wifi thermostat too?
