[OBSOLETE] D-Link Camera Manager (Connect) [Requires Classic App]

What is the level for in the device page? Is this why webCoRE sees my cameras as dimmable devices? What would you use this for? I’ve tried adjusting this level but it keeps going back to a certain number (37).

The dimmer is for motion detector sensitivity. Some cameras only have a few
preset levels (37 may be the lowest yours goes before turning off)

If I can ask another question - what is the device notification command that’s in webCoRE for? The camera is showing as a notification device and wondering how to take advantage of that.

Another thing I’ve been wondering about is now that I’ve discovered showing snapshots from D-Link cameras in device history using webCoRE - is here also a way to show video in SmartThings app?

Yet I keep getting this error when there’s SHM events saying camera is unavailable and trying to find a workaround.

Sorry to keep swamping you with questions just not seeing it above, but what does the video on setting do for the camera in he SmartThings device created?

This integration does not support SHM recording because SmartThings hasn’t
opened up that capability.

The video on command starts local recording if you have that set up in your
cameras advanced settings.

Hi I am new to SmartThings just installed a DCS-933L but nothing seems to work from the SmartThings app, from the browser I am able to use the url to get video but I always get a prompt for user id and password, even though the one in the url are the same.

When I click on the motion toggle button I see the followin in the log:

What do you get when you put the following in a web browser:

Http://username:password@IP:port/motion.cgi

on chrome it asks for a user id and password and then it shows:

MotionDetectionEnable=1
MotionDetectionBlockSet=0000000000100011111111111
MotionDetectionSensitivity=30
MotionDetectionScheduleMode=0
MotionDetectionScheduleDay=62
MotionDetectionScheduleTimeStart=09:00:00
MotionDetectionScheduleTimeStop=16:00:00

As long as you use those settings in the SmartApp and the camera is on the same local network as the SmartThings hub then it should work. Sometimes you need to give it a day or two for the settings to properly set.

Finally got it to work, for some reason the phone app was using an invalid password even though I had edited it, not sure why the edit does not work.

Removed the device added it again with the correct information and its working now.

Thanks so much for your help

I have a 936L and would like to take you upon the offer to add it to the ST install as an option to select it. I have the SmartApp and the Device Handler installed, but 936L not listed and it will not recognize it.

Can you help?

You should be able to install it as a DCS-935L

No love for DCS-800L :slight_smile:
maybe bc its pink :unicorn:

Would be awesome if you could add it here.
TIA

If you’re able to find API information then I might be able to add support. You can also try installing using one of the supported cameras and see if it works.

Hello I have a problem, I have installed the repo, and even tried it manually but every-time I only ever manage to get the video working but nothing else.

The Motion, PIR, NV and Video on/off do click into the toggle mode but then get stuck and they just freeze with no response. same goes for the ‘Take Picture’ tab this clicks but nothing happens, its all really weird. Once they are all in ‘Toggle’ mode they stay that way, but I can still stop and play the live video??

I’ve attached a picture of my mobile screen and settings, all seem good and I have sent the a copy of the error log too.

I have access to the cameras using the DLINK URL and also the other settings URL see attached images…

url%20cctv

Also see my mobile screenshots…The buttons just stay like this and do nothing but the video function works great, but nothing else? Even when I press the refresh tab…nothing happens

CCTV%20MOBILE%204

Here are the settings in the app itself not to fussed about viewing outside just yet so just using local IP’s for both…Also the usual admin user name and password are set too.

I am wondering whether this is because my Camera says DCS 942LB1 Maybe?

Here is the IDE set up

and…

I hope anyone can shed some light onto this for me, many thanks…

Assuming the IP address is the same for both the camera and video IP, it should all work.

Can you try putting the following url in a web browser while connected to the same network:
http://username:password@ip:port/config/motion.cgi

If that webpage loads properly then you might just have to wait a bit for the settings to propagate in SmartThings. Sometimes if you used incorrect settings at first or if you had another installation that used the same IP/port then SmartThings reserves the connection for the other installation/settings for a number of hours/days before resetting it.

Hello, I have put this into the local browser on the same network

http://192.168.1.246:80/config/motion.cgi

and get this back

enable=yes
mbmask=00000000000000000000000000000000000000003FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC3FFFFFFFFC000000000000000000000000000000
sensitivity=59
pir=yes
pir_sensitivity=50

cannot understand why the features are all locked, really confused could it be that my model is D-link DCS 942LB?

Thanks for your quick reply too :slight_smile:

Your settings are all correct, the only thing I can suggest is to leave it be for up to a few days and see if it fixes itself. Smarthings can get touchy at times with regards to these local network connections.
