Well I signed up and I have to say, ActionTiles is simply brilliant - another superb extension of the SmartThings universe. I now have great easy to use (but simple so far) “Lighting” and “Security” panels on a touch screen in our hallway. Even my wife was vaguely impressed and how useful that is! Many thanks.

“vaguely impressed”… I’m sure that’s a big compliment relatively speaking .

Thanks for your support and for your effort making useful Panels with our tool!

Share the love and help ActionTiles be enjoyed by more folks by adding a few stars and endorsement on our Facebook “Reviews” page, if you get a chance, thanks!

Believe me when I says that “vaguely impressed” was indeed a big compliment compared to my wife’s views of some of my earlier home automation efforts! If you could just find your way to adding a “Walk the :dog2:” tile, the accolades would be endless.

I shall indeed share the love and all being well, a few of my neighbours will adopt the system too in due course. Just need to get my old alarm system sensors and central heating system connected to ST now…

Thanks again, cool system, great community.

If your old alarm sensor are hardwired, @heythisisnate has put together quite a nice bridge solution…

Thanks for the heads up and I did indeed look at the Konnected 2.0 system, which is clearly an impressive off the shelf solution which would have worked. In the end though I decided to deploy the ST Anything SmartApp and DH, mainly so I could learn about this new chip and Arduino and also as I can connect c. 20 sensors to a single ESP32 (though multiple Konnected units would have worked too). I have this running now on a bench with dummy sensors (switches on a breadboard) but still need to wire this up to my real sensors and then to ActionTiles.

what would cause the question mark on my tile? Its a First Alert combo co2 smoke alarm. Same as the basement one which is working

Capture.

Common situation, unfortunately…

In other words, the device probably does not have a valid current state value (confirm by checking in the IDE under My Devices).

The SmartThings App probably assumes it is value of “clear”, of course, but we don’t like to make assumptions…

Are there colors now where if the front door is closed its green and if its open its red?

The ability to customize colors for different Tile states is on our very short-term roadmap.

We have a release in Beta that includes the back-end code for this function, but it won’t be configurable in the front-end until a future release.

(We do not give ETAs for feature releases. We emphatically avoid breaking promises for feature release dates; and that can only be achieved by avoiding giving out release estimates, of course!).

Thanks for your feature request, support, and patience as we steadily improve the beloved ActionTiles app.

Hi,

I am running US v2 of Smartthings Hub in Australia, 20+ zigbee devices connected working well for a month. I am trying to authorise Action tiles via add location (action tiles web portal) when it takes me to smartthings hub for authorization i get the message “Client is not associated with a SmartApp in location Home.” and from there i cannot select the authorization button. How do i get around this issue?
and am i able to use action tiles in Australia?

SmartThings won’t currently provide support for ActionTiles to run in new Shards in non-SmartThings markets.

Please contact Support@ActionTiles.com for ideas, but basically you cannot use an Asia Pacific Samsung Account.

Thanks for your very quick reply! i will contact action tiles and see what ideas they can suggest

You all may want to see this. I use Action tiles but I start my Spotify Playlists with Smartthings in more of a timed fashion and/or with triggering events. Like it is 5 am and automatically wake up to my music. Here is a video of how I got er done.

What’s up with the latency in ActionTiles recently? The tiles can take half an hour to update, sometimes more to correlate to SmartThings. It used to be instantaneous. I have the same results on mobile data, WiFi, various android devices, with and without Fully.
