Purchased used Samsung hub v3 and it will not connect to internet

Hi All,

I Purchased a hub v3 via ebay and am running into issues when trying to connect similar to others.

  1. Device is detected when SmartThings is open on my S23 Ultra (but have also tried adding it manually)
  2. Invited to scan QR Code (have also added the SN manually)
  3. Invited to select network (have tried both WiFi and ethernet)
  4. Message “Connecting to Hub”
  5. Message “Your hub is connecting to the internet”
  6. Your hub is offline - Error code 33-504
  7. I click retry and get error 33-513 and stuck in a loop.

Please help!

EDIT:

i have also tried the NTP block on my router without any luck either.

Most likely you are expecting the expired security certificate. Follow the guide in the following thread: Troubleshooting SmartThings Hub 2018 and Aeotec Hub

Thought this as well, no luck with the NTP or site block though, not sure if there is anything else I can try or anyone at samsung can help with

You can submit your hub logs as posted in that thread. They can identify if it is an expired certificate or not.

For me only block ntp port don’t worked…

Only sucefully when i blocked all ntp ports for my country…

“On your router, look for parental controls and block all NTP servers in your country. So simple… Then you can add the hub to smartthings. Since I’m in Portugal, I blocked the following:
server 0.pt.pool.ntp.org
server 1.pt.pool.ntp.org
server 2.pt.pool.ntp.org
server 3.pt.pool.ntp.org
pt.pool.ntp.org
pool.ntp.org

Surch ntp for your country and block them all…

The NTP fix sounds more likely for you but just in case here’s what worked for me.
