@John_Lacour can I ask where you got the information regarding the developer breaking things in SmartThings? I haven’t seen anything in the community saying there was a problem or anything from development stating they were going to revoke the December version of SmartThings due to the problem.
I have concerns with mysterious versions of an app that have been uploaded to non-vendor site since it is a good way to get malware or other bad code into the environment?
I have CT 100 and CT 101 thermostat ever since the latest update on the app store the CT1 00 and CT 101 thermostats change the temperatures on their own they constantly move back and forth. I’m not the only one having this problem with the latest version of SmartThings. That’s why I posted where I posted. If you’re not having this problem this does not apply to you. Did you bother to read the previous posts not my post the other people’s post who are having the same problem I am. I’m not telling you to do anything if you don’t have a problem and it ain’t broke don’t fix it
Having the same problem for a month now. Unfortunately, can’t download previous versions in the Apple App Store. Only way I can get my thermostats to retain whole number temps is to use my integrated Alexa App. Guess I’m stuck with that until the next Smartthings app update. This is ridiculous!
Yeah I was doing it that way also you can also ask Alexa to do it without opening app. I was also using Google Home APP to control the thermostat and it was working fine that way too. Using Google Assistant also works to control a thermostat. You would think they would have fixed it by now
Thanks. I did read that thread, too, so I understand the issue. Now, just waiting for a fix since managing the thermostats in Smartthings is more robust than with Alexa.
If I understand what he said correctly, he created a profile specifically for the CT100 with decimal Celsius values that convert to non-decimal Fahrenheit values. Are you using his driver?
I’ve been informed that smart things is aware of the problem and they’re working on a fix. For now if you have an Android phone you can download the previous version of SmartThings which works fine. If you have an Apple phone well you’re in prison camp.
I tried your suggestion and I reverted to version 1.8.21.28 but I still had the issue with the temperature not getting set in the device. I was using Mariano’s ZWave driver with his latest change. Since it seems to be the most reliable. There are still some quirky issues with SmartThings setting the temperature but I think I have to live with that until SmartThings is fixed.
The latest SmartThings 1.8.27.22 update on Playstore is no better or worse than the SmartThings 1.8.26.21 for the thermostat problem.
@h0ckeysk8er and @FixMyCT100s I don’t think that post is using Mariano’s driver. I also found that post and tried to enroll my hub to try the driver but I can’t enroll my hub using the link in the post. (SmartThings Channel and Drivers)
Strange. The default driver did the same problem with the temperature being set and then I watched the device decrease the value without any interaction from me.
Using the December version of SmartThings. First uninstall then reinstall use the stock driver. I had a few words with smart things people that’s what they told me to do they’re working on fix.
