I could sucks at searching but I wasn’t able to find what I’m looking for. I would like to have google home call a routine or smart app that would turn off or flash a zwave switch after a preset time.

Not exactly what you’re looking for but the closest thing I could find was to use IFTTT/Google calendar as a trigger. This way you can effectively schedule certain events to take place by adding them to your calendar.
