Post Requests for Zwave Edge Drivers Here (community-created)

I have a request for Edge drivers for two devices:

  1. Aeotec HEM “2nd Edition” (aka Gen2?). Fingerprint info below.
(A key feature of this version over prior is ability to track negative power. The default for that setting is disabled, so the driver should expose this to the user (or overwrite to enable). A must-have for solar systems.)

Aside question: I note that Samsung has a beta Edge driver “Z-Wave-Electric Meter” that includes fingerprints for a couple of the HEM’s, but not this model. So I assume it should be fairly easy to extend to cover this model. Where do I post requests to Samsung for such “standard” Edge drivers?

[Edit: deleted the Xiaomi sensor request, found one at:

For anyone with Homeseer devices, I received a response from their support that they will not be developing drivers for Edge.

Here is their response:

Hello,

We do not have plans for an updated driver at this time, though I will pass this information along to our engineers and see what may be done.

Best regards,
Matt

If anyone is willing, I haven’t seen the fingerprints FLS-100 or FLS-100+ in Smartthings or community drivers. I know the demand is only a few on here so far, but it is one devices that will seemingly be DOA with Groovy EOL.

A few devices for which I can’t find Edge drivers:

  • Aeotec Appliance Switch - 0086/0003/0006 - zw:L type:1001 mfr:0086 prod:0003 model:0006 ver:1.43 zwv:2.78 lib:03 cc:25,31,32,27,70,85,72,86 ccOut:82

  • Hank SO01 smart plug - 0208-0101-0005 - zw:L type:1001 mfr:0208 prod:0101 model:0005 ver:1.05 zwv:4.24 lib:03 cc:5E,25,32,27,2C,2B,70,85,59,72,86,7A,73,5A

  • Neo Coolcam Motion Sensor - 0258-0003-0083 - zw:S type:0701 mfr:0258 prod:0003 model:0083 ver:3.80 zwv:4.05 lib:06 cc:5E,86,72,5A,73,80,31,71,30,70,85,59,84
  • GE 14284 / Jasco ZW4201 smart plug - 0063-6363-3130 - zw:L type:1001 mfr:0063 prod:6363 model:3130 ver:1.70 zwv:3.40 lib:06 cc:25,27,75,73,86,72,77 thanks Philh30

zwave-sensor/fingerprints.yml includes 7 very similar Neo Coolcam Motion sensors, but not the one I have.

I have manuals for all these devices, some with command set and configuration documentation. They all worked OK with default SmartThings device type handlers except the Evolve LTM-5, which I use in association mode.

Thanks!

@philh30 has a version of the 14284 fingerprinted as 0063-4F50-3032 in his GE/Jasco driver combo. Adding your fingerprint shouldn’t be too difficult, perhaps followup to get it added on his thread:

Any chance this could be supported by September 30th?

New request for edge driver - a Monoprice Multisensor (just confirmed the beta ST edge driver doesn’t cover this one).

For those with Homeseer devices, some possible good news that aligns with comments from @krlaframboise. It seems Homeseer may indeed come through.

Here is response to me calling out the shutdown of groovy:

Matt Cave commented:

I’ve spoken with my supervisors today and they are working on getting Edge drivers ready! I do not have an ETA for those, unfortunately, but we are working on getting those ready before the Oct 15 deadline.

Hopefully they make good and take a few drivers off this this community’s (very capable) hands.

Thanks!

Hello all… it has been a while…

I am trying to get my 160 devices ready for “The Big Move” and I came across this dimmer that does not seem to have a new Edge Driver home yet.

I found a switch in the Table of Edge Drivers, but the fingerprints do not match.

I also searched the Zwave Switch fingerprints.yml in GitHub, to no avail.

Here are the details of the Linear Dimmer model 4457-3034.

Linear Dimmer Switch

Stock DTH driver being used in the IDE: Dimmer Switch
MSR: 014F-4457-3034
endpointId: 0
manufacturer: null
networkSecurityLevel: ZWAVE_LEGACY_NON_SECURE
Raw Description zw:L type:1104 mfr:014F prod:4457 model:3034 cc:26,2B,2C,27,73,70,86,72

From CLI:

“deviceManufacturerCode”: “014F-4457-3034”,
“deviceModel”: “4457-3034”,
“deviceTypeName”: “Dimmer Switch”,
“executingLocally”: true,
“networkSecurityLevel”: “ZWAVE_LEGACY_NON_SECURE”

Is this something that can/will be added to the SmartThing Edge Driver Zwave Switch? @nayelyz
Or is this a candidate to be added to one of the excellent community-created drivers? @Mariano_Colmenarejo

Thank you all for your help!

Nortek is a major zwave device manufacturer that sells the same models under different brands, including Linear (for contractors), GoControl (retail), and others.

I’m pretty sure that model is the same as the GoControl WD500Z, but with a different manufacturer ID.

I see a lot of information about the Edge drivers and where to find them, etc. but I can’t find a step-by-step guide on how to install an Edge driver once I find it. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

You need to find the channel invite link in this forum. Click on it and login. Click to accept the channel link. Click to enroll your hub. Find the driver and click the install link for each driver you want. Then go back to your app. Find your hub device tile and open it. Click the dots in the top right. Select drivers (this only shows up once you have an Edge driver installed). Here you can see a list of drivers you’ve installed and a list of channels you’ve registered to. Once the channel is added you can click on it to add/remove individual drivers.
To change devices to use a driver right now, you will need to exclude and readd your device or you can wait and see what happens once ST does the transition.

Looking for driver for HomeSeer WD200+ dimmer any Idea where can I get the edge driver?

I need a driver for HommeSeer WD200+ Dimmer

I use several devices made by Homeseer @ homeseer.com they have extreamly good abilities with LEDs along the side of the switchs. These LEDs can be programmed to give you notifications of things happening throughout the house ie; a pump being on and it turns on a green LED throughout the house on all switches. Or a window or door open and it flashes another LED. Is there anything in the works for edge drivers for all the homeseer products?

Currently i am using.
HS-FC200
HS-FLS100
HS-WD200 Dimmer & Switch
HS-WX300 Dimmer & Switch
HS-SP100 Plug

Looks like it’s coming.

I have three controllers for floor electrical heating called Heatit Z-TRM2fx
I’m currently using this device handler: smartthings/heatit-z-trm2fx.groovy at master · msolvaag/smartthings · GitHub
from the DH: fingerprint mfr: “019B”, prod: “0003”, model: “0202”, deviceJoinName: “HeatIt Z-TRM2fx”

Has anyone created a new driver for this or can point me at a generic that works? (I search but was not able to find one)

Good Afternoon

I was hoping someone could make a driver for the Nodon Octan z-wave remote.

I’m currently using the DH from this post:

The manual for the remote is here:

I’ve tried looking through the various posts but can’t see anything specific to the Nodon Octan, if one already exists I apologise.

I’d love to keep using this device, so any help is gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Jonathan

Hi @JDRoberts

Am I to take your comment to mean that this device will be added to a stock Edge Driver?

Or should I ask @Mariano_Colmenarejo if it can be added to one of the great Edge Drivers in their channels?

If the fingerprint isn’t added to the stock driver, wouldn’t an appropriate driver still be chosen based on capabilities?
