Original SmartThings Motion Sensor (USB) - Issues after Power Outage?

I’ve noticed that with my original generation SmartThings Motion Sensor (the one with USB power) that after a power outage, it doesn’t re-connect to my SmartThings network automatically. I have to power cycle the sensor before it starts working again.

Anyone know why this is or if I can do anything to fix it?

c2014? I haven’t had that experience but I’ve only lost power 3-4 times in the last 2 years.

if you have dead batteries in there maybe they prefer to be alive.

Also maybe it’s a marginal USB power supply you’ve got.
