Open/close sensor issue and question

(Qvae) #1

I’ve had this sensor for ONE WEEK, opened the window no more than 4 times and I’m down to 89% battery. Is that normal? This does not look like it will be a good outcome.

I’m also looking for a device handler for this sensor and that I can use on the garage door tilt sensor. Why? I simply want to change the color of the text of the tile on the home screen of the app when opened or closed.

Last, is there a place where here I can strictly search for device handlers so I’m not scrolling through general topics in hopes of finding handlers? If not, I think there should be a section where the posts are STRICTLY releases…no discussions, trouble shooting, or praises. Just the release, descriptions, and maybe star ratings from the community. This would make things so much easier.

What sensor (brand/model)?

89% right away is normal. You’ve had it for one week. Time will tell.

Discussion does blow, I know what you mean.

Probably normal. See the battery reporting FAQ (this is a clickable link)

See the quick browse lists in the community – created wiki. They are for exactly this purpose. :sunglasses:

Look in the second section on the page, which is device type handlers, and then down at the bottom of that section you will find a list of sensor DTH’s. It can definitely save you a lot of time.
