Is there a way to configure smartthings so that it only uses data for alarms?
I would like to secure a WHSE using smartthings through a cellular modem. (USB modem connected to Asus Router and ST hub plugged into router)
My concern is that I would like to use one of those no expiration cellular providers (toggle mobile / truphone ) and so each bit a data costs money.
I don’t want ST hub to waste data transmitting all of my motion & door openings when the alarm isn’t armed. Is this possible? To be clear I don’t care about the zwave transmission to the hub I just don’t want to waste expensive data sending that non-alarmed activity/movement to ST server.
I do realize that arming/disarming and polling would still use some data but want to minimize data use if possible.
