[OBSOLETE] Rachio Manager

Still nothing i tried again
please any help will be greatly appreciated

Sorry I’ve tied up on other projects. I sent the code to ST about 4 months ago and I know they made a change to something. If I have time I will look at the code.

Have you tried completely removing the app/devices and reinstalling again?

Thank you for writing me back.
Yes i installed and removed it a few times in the beginning… the removal of all components went fine but the problem still remained. Last time though when i tried to remove both the devices, the device handlers the smartapp etc it gave me errors in removal i dont remember exactly which part i couldn’t remove however i went in and took off the old code pasted again from raw on github and saved but again the same problem remains … red dot on the side and “watering”
D

So you didn’t completely remove everything then? You’ll need to go back and remove absolutely everything before you can reinstall otherwise you’re always going to run into the same issue.

@richland007
Do me a favor and remove everything and install the native rachio. It’s the exact same code as rachio manager

ST updated their end finally?

yes and made it much easier for me to submit fixes…

Ok fellows I have deleted all my Rachio devices, i have deleted the device handler but when i go to delete your Rachio SmartApp it says:
“This SmartApp can’t be deleted at this time because it is installed by one or more users” … I dont have anyone else with access to the IDE … i have my family members that use the ST app by my invitation as secondary users that have no idea how to mess with this
…this was the error i got last time too (like i said before i have been able to delete it all completely the Smartapp and the Dh and devices …but not this last 2 times).
Any idea how to surpass this hurdle so i can install the stock smartapp though the ST app as you advised.
Denis

Go into the IDE --> My Locations --> Home --> Installed SmartApps --> Edit --> Uninstall the right SmartApp

Thank you sir

Did that work?
Cause there is also another unpublished way to force delete apps from the IDE

  1. Go to the page that @Benji mentioned above.
  2. Right click on the app name link you want to remove and copy the link
  3. The URL will look like this https://graph.api.smartthings.com/installedSmartApp/showModal/your_app_id
  4. Open a new browser tab and paste the URL into the search bar of your browser.
  5. Remove the ‘Modal’ part of the /showModal/ path of the URL and press Enter
  6. Scroll down to the bottom of page and you will see a couple buttons:

@tonesto7 Yes it did work but it is always good to know stuff  i have installed the new Rachio app and all i just haven’t tested it cause it has been raining herein Dallas

Thank you
Denis

Did not know this! Thank you Anthony!

I loaded this a while ago,and all the sudden (in the last month or so) it has started generating errors. Here is what I’m seeing:

2:39:32 AM: error exception polling children: groovy.lang.GroovyRuntimeException: Ambiguous method overloading for method java.lang.Long#minus.
Cannot resolve which method to invoke for [null] due to overlapping prototypes between:
[class java.lang.Character]

Any one get their Rachio devices to work on the new ST Connect app yet?

Step 8: force delete

If you use the first button you will get an error.

Force delete works! Thanks… time to install the official ST app.

I do not see Gen3… do I try gen2? I’m using Classic app.

gen2 version works just fine with my Rachio Gen 3.

Note, the devices still do not work in the ‘new’ Connect app.

Hi - Long shot since this is an old thread, but hopefully someone can help. I went through the steps to add my Rachio controller using the custom SmartApp code and all went well - entered my API key, it found my controller and all zones, and I checked them all to be added to the app. Everything seems to be set up correctly; however, when I go to My Devices in the Classic app, there are no devices for Rachio or any zones. Is there something else I’m supposed to do to actually see anything in the device list? Again, the controller and all zones are selected in the SmartApp settings and it says it is connected and authenticated.

I’m trying to transition from Wink to SmartThings and would really appreciate a reply!

I bet you forgot to install the device handlers first. I made the same mistake, then it worked.
