I believe that is what you mean by fingerprint.

Thanks Mariano! That was just the information I needed. For others following along, here are a few details it took me some time to figure out.
My specific device was from Vision, but I had been using the Monoprice driver successfully in the past.
Here are the steps I followed:

  1. Using your app, navigate to your SmartThings hub (for me, called Home Hub in my No Room Assigned group).. Select it, then the dagger (three dots menu in the upper right), choose Settings, then Z-Wave utilities.
  2. Choose Z-Wave exclusion.
  3. While it is scanning, turn the switch connected to your device on/off 4 times in at least 2 seconds. This should trigger a message through your network that the hub will recognize and you should get a message that you successfully excluded the device. I had to retry a few times but generally it seemed to work on my second try. I felt like I had to get really good at clicking fast. I’m not sure if it matters which of the two switches you have connected (assuming you have both set up) so you might try both if you have trouble with one.
  4. Be sure to repeat this for all of the dual switches you have on this hub.
  5. Remove the driver using the IDE
  6. Make sure all your virtual buttons and the old relays are removed from your device list in the IDE.
  7. Make sure you have subscribed to Mariano’s driver at Channel and Drivers Web UI (smartthings.com). I don’t know how long you need to wait at this point, but I don’t think long.
  8. Put your hub into inclusion mode by selecting the + sign in the upper right of the app and choosing Add device and then scan for nearby devices.
  9. Do the same 4 on/off transitions within 2 seconds to alert the hub as to which one you are trying to join.
  10. This will add a device that controls the main one with its on/off button, but also has a second button available for the other device.
  11. If you go into settings, there is an option for creating a single device for switch1 (the second switch) which will automatically add it into your Alexa.
  12. Assign the new switches the correct names.

I had a hard time finding the driver, but it is because it is in the beta drivers which I linked above. Mariano - please correct me if I’m wrong on any of this for posterity, but I am up and running! Many thanks!

Had to move the hub within 1 meter, per the original instructions, and depress the switch on the module 4x to get a few of mine excluded. Then I ended up re-wiring two banks of switches because the sight of my original wiring job from long ago filled me with shame.

For the next time, it may be easier to buy a multi-meter network cable and move the Hub closer to the device. I do it that way and it makes things so much easier.

Luckily I already had a USW-Flex Mini switch a few feet away, so I just temporarily moved the hub there while excluding/including. The re-wring part of my previous comment was just a reference to tidying-up the electrical box.
