Great stuff, that’ll be good enough for me, email photo burst on a motion detect.
On looking at the setup it has an IP, which I’m going to say as a static one in my router, but where do I find the port number for it please?
Thanks again for replies and glad I found this thread, didn’t want to buy another camera when this works, and now can integrate into ST even better. For live viewing I’ll just use the iOS DLink app.
Thanks

Internal port is 80 unless you change it in the camera’s network settings. And yes, you’ll want to assign a static local IP for the camera.

You might be able to use my smart security camera SmartApp… Haven’t tested it with the DCS-932 or DCS-930 yet though…
I’ve decided to leverage my D-Link Camera Manager (Connect) devices and create a SmartApp that will move the camera to preset views (if the camera has pan/tilt) and take 4 pictures and/or a local video clip when an event happens. It is loosely based on the Photo Burst app with a lot of added features.
What it does: Simply, when a specific event occurs (door/window opens, motion detected, etc.) the camera will automatically move to a preset location (as set up in your D-Link settings) and will take 4 pictures roughly 7 seconds apart each (quickest I could get it to work without dropping pictures) and/or record a video clip for a set amount of time. All of the photos it takes are stored in the SmartThings cloud for a short period of time (30 days maybe), this is standard for all image cap…

Thanks I’ll have a look.
I’ve never enabled email for the cameras. Still can’t get it to work, unsure on settings for the DLink page, can anyone help please for a gmail account.
Is user name name before the @ or full email?
What port and server?
Enable SSL or not?
Tried what I think every setting, but on the status page still says wrong username/password or once had a smtp rejected?

It all depends on what email service you use.
Will live video be added to this device also?

Brilliant! When you say all my devices do you mean all your DLink devices?
Also will this mean we can still use it or will it error if we have missing devices that you own?
e.g. I only have a few DLink cameras that I’d want in ST, 930L and 932L types.
Thanks again and let us know when it’s done so I can try it.
Great. I’m trying to stream video from this using the generic device handler/app. But can’t find an url thats working in the smartthings app. Any idea on what might work? I can get my Logitech Alert working using rtsp, but don’t think dcs-932 supports rtsp

The 932 only supports mjpeg I believe (no audio). I’ll let you know once I figure that part out…

It will be all of my D-Link devices that I’ve written plus some new ones. It will allow you to install only the ones you want/have

Yep that’s the one I have in the code, in putting the finishing touches on my D-Link device manager and hope to release it soon.

##DCS-932L DeviceType is Obsolete, Please use the following SmartApp instead:
D-Link Camera Manager (Connect).
This SmartApp will allow you to install and manage multiple D-Link Camera Devices. Finally, a one-stop shop for all of your D-Link IP camera needs.
I have created these devices in order to add additional functionality to existing supported D-Link cameras and to add compatibility for many that are not natively supported. All cameras feature In-App Video streaming, snapshots and the ability to toggle motion detection. Some cameras support much much more, see the feature and compatibility chart below!
If you don’t see a camera on the list that you would like me to add; feel free to leave a comment below and I will work to incorporate it!
