Thanks, guess I can give it a shot. Just couldn’t find anything definite on a forum search.

Thanks. Appreciate the help.
Yep. While I don’t actually have any Blooms, I do have three of the Iris units connected directly.
They seem slightly glitchy from time to time (like, sometimes they don’t go back off after coming on as part of some kind of alerting automation I have configured in either RuleMachine or CoRE). I have no idea if this is somehow related to having them connected directly, or if they’re just like this anyway. So, can’t say.
Other than that, they seem to work well, and I’m just ‘putting-up-with’ such occasional glitches.
Thanks, I saw where Amazon Warehouse had some for sale. I haven’t ordered yet, busy day at work.
So after the re-install, everything appears to be working perfectly. Might have just been one too many changes combined with my experimentation. Thanks again for a great app!
Okay, for those brave souls interested … I’ve just released the initial version of a “Sports Notifications” app - this is a Parent/Child combination. Sport Notifications is the Parent app and will allow installation of child notification services with ‘NHL Notification Service’ being the first offering. I’ve also created a simple “virtual switch” device type that allows the Sports Notification app to automatically generate this virtual switch used to enable/disable each child Notification service on the fly. I’ll be creating a new thread on this forum for this app, but just wanted to put this out there for those following this one. Right now, the functionality should be the same (or close to the same) as this one - but as you will see it is a totally different beast
The following link has the installation instructions - don’t forget to install all three components - Sports Notifications (parent), NHL Notifications Service (child) and Sports Notification Switch (device).

I’ll give it a shot.
Uninstall and new install here I come.
Does the switch portion get installed as a DTH or App??

Great … FYI, you don’t need to uninstall the NHL Notification app. Both can run concurrently … but I would only have one enabled or you might get competing goal notifications and/or duplicate text messages.

Switch is installed as a DeviceType Handler
uninstall the NHL Notification app
Too late I’m all in!!! I can go back if needed
Install Sport Notification Switch, see https://github.com/ejluttmann/SmartThings/tree/master/devicetypes/sport-notifications/sport-notification-switch.src
Within the SmartThings IDE and click ‘My SmartApps’ (or goto https://graph.api.smartthings.com/ide/apps), then ‘+ New SmartApp’.
Note it says + New Smart App in Github

Maybe I need to be more clear, but under ‘1’ I provide a link to install the Switch (a devicetype handler) and then ‘2’ proceed to install the ‘NHL Notification Service’ .
Yes, sorry I read it all together, I see what you did now.
I was following the flow from the previous section.
Okay, I updated the README so hopefully it is a bit clearer now
It’s in and set up for my team.
I didn’t see the test button like before to see if speaker and notifications are good. So I’m on hold till tomorrow nights game.
Thanks again for all your work.

It needs better explanation, but if you select your team under Touch Notification it will put a play button on the Sports Notification. Push that play button and it will trigger a manual goal for the team selected.
Okay, GREAT!!!
I started poking around but then I hit Service Scheduling and it exited out of the app setup.
I’ll go back in and try it out.

Hmmm … that doesn’t sound right or good … doesn’t happen to me but maybe I need to uninstall and reinstall to trigger it (I’ve just been doing updates for a while now).
