Yeah, my other sonoff devices have been excellent. Likewise I’m disappointed with the presence sensor.
Same situation here. I have 3 of the SNZB-06P for a while and was working well. But has transformed into this useless, buggy, pretty much bricked devices. Multiple attempts at enrolling, unenrolling have gone nowhere. Looking for alternatives and cant seems to find any
I only have one, I’ve pretty much given up on it. I’d look out for moderately priced alternatives. I await with interest the aqara battery presence sensor.
What driver is everyone using with this model?
@Mariano_Colmenarejo
zigbee motion sensor MC , should work fine with that sensor
I prefer the driver provided by Sonoff.
How is everyone else getting on with this sensor. I’ve had mine nearly two years and I’m seriously considering dumping it. It goes through periods of behaving fine and then spells where it goes offline or detects presence and then never goes back to no presence despite hours of no one there.
It’s started acting up again with this week , and despite swapping back and forth between the sonoff driver and Mario’s (mc) driver it’s still misbehaving.
Anyone got this working reliably?
Mine was very unreliable so I took it out of service a couple weeks ago.
I have a Tuya WiFi one that works much better. But it doesn’t integrate with SmartThings. It does integrate with Home Assistant which I use to connect it with ST.
I reluctantly got rid of mine, as although I’m happy with many Sonoff products they would never work consistently.
I bought several Tuya presence sensors but although they worked well they caused problems on my Zigbee network, both pairing with the ST hub or through my iHost and then bought in by Matter.
In the end I bought a Tuya Zigbee hub to pair them, but of course this does not integrate so it needed Node-red with a locally running node to make any sense of it.
Works very well but TBH I’m not happy with a setup which for any change, firmware update by Tuya manufacturer, node developer leaving project, etc etc could fail.
Shame that a product that integrated well and did not collapse network with messaging did not live up to expectives. On the lookout for an alternative.
SONOFF released this new 24GHz presence sensor, and it looks like a pretty big upgrade over the older models. The features I’m most curious about are the self-learning function and the finally usable lux sensor.
Great, I also need to switch from 5.8GHz to 24GHz.
