I’m in the process of developing an Automation to measure the network uplink/downlink speed with the help of the SmartThings REST API. To do so, I have found there’s a capability named networkMeter with the attributes uplink and downlink. The description of such capability (and a list of many others) can be accessed using GET with “https://api.smartthings.com/v1/capabilities”. However, in the SmartThings Developer Site there’s no documentation about it. I was wondering if anyone have worked with such capability using the REST API.
How does the URL must be formed to access the uplink/downlink speed attributes? Do I need a device that implements such capability? Can it be a virtual device?
I would be willing to bet it’s only available to SmartThings WiFi enabled hubs. They show up as devices under ST
