Nest API about to be opened up

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share the news that Nest is opening up its API, someone has to work on this as it will be awesome with Smartthings.

Yeah this will be great that they are finally officially opening this up. Some folks have been doing this for a while now:

I’ve been using an unofficial one for my stuff with great success: https://github.com/wiredprairie/unofficial_nodejs_nest

Is there any APP for the Nest yet that an end user could use? My goal is simple for now, I want to be notified if a window or door is open when Nest turns on the A/C. :slight_smile:
