Hi everyone,
I need help reinstalling an Edge driver that previously worked on my SmartThings Hub V3.
I used to have an Edge driver on my hub called:
Virtual Devices V2.95
Developer ID: 863beb73-c3bc-6a21-10fc-0ed0a77ea3dc
(This showed up in my hub’s Installed Drivers list.)
This driver allowed me to create virtual switches that Alexa could use as triggers, and the setup worked about 60–70% of the time. I accidentally deleted the virtual devices tied to it and uninstalled the driver itself.
Now I need to reinstall this specific driver, but I do not have the original invite link, and every invite link I try returns:
“403 Forbidden – You do not have permission to access the specified invitation.”
I’ve tried:
All of them fail with Forbidden.
I am asking for:
-
The correct, currently active invite URL for the Virtual Devices V2.95 Edge driver
OR -
Confirmation of whether the developer has shut down that channel
OR -
A recommended alternative Edge driver that:
-
Creates virtual switches,
-
Is recognized by Alexa as ON/OFF switches,
-
And can be used as triggers in Alexa routines.
-
I am aware of vEdge Creator by TAustin, but my account appears to block installation of most invite links, so I may need the exact channel link if this driver was based on that ecosystem.
Any help identifying this driver or providing the correct enrollment link would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
