Motion, presence and temp sensors

What are people using? I’ve had poor success with:
SONOFF SNZB-02P Zigbee Temperature and Humidity Sensor, Smart Temperature Sensor with Comfort Alarm, Zigbee Hygrometer Compatible with Alexa/Google Home/HA/IFTTT, Zigbee Hub Required. : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools - temp doesn’t change, shows as 27’c always. Installed the only driver I can find for it.

SONOFF SNZB-06P Zigbee Human Presence Sensor, 5.8GHz Microwave Radar Built-in Light Detector Motion Sensor, High Precision Detects, Supports Alexa, Google Home and Home Assistant : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools. - Doesn’t show any motion at all, other reviews people say the same issue.

https://a.aliexpress.com/_EvlZnNL - can’t find a driver so no success.

Basically I just need a temp sensor and either a presence sensor or motion that works with Snartthings and doesn’t cost the earth.
What’s been successful for you?

Thanks.

Tapo temperature and motion sensors (both Matter) and Aqara FP2 presence sensor.

Same here, the Tapo T315 bridged with the H100 hub (I try to avoid Matter bridges but it’s cheap and small). It updates via Matter (almost) every time it changes 0.1°C. And the motion sensor too, works great and it’s so compact.

And the Tapo contact sensors are tiny compared to other brands.

Another benefit: they are “subG”, 868 MHz, if I remember correctly. Rock solid connection even through thick walls. Battery lasts 1.5 years in my experience.

Ok thank you, not thought about adding a bridge but maybe best option.

Do you have links at all? Is the T315 the Hub or sensor?
I’ve found this.
Tapo Smart Room Thermometer, Hygrometer, WiFi Thermometer & Humidity Meter, LCD Display, Real-time Notifications,Battery included, Work with Alexa & Google,Tapo Hub Required sold separately(Tapo T315) Tapo Smart Room Thermometer, Hygrometer, WiFi Thermometer & Humidity Meter, LCD Display, Real-time Notifications,Battery included, Work with Alexa & Google,Tapo Hub Required sold separately(Tapo T315) : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

Tapo T315 is the sensor with e-ink screen.
Tapo H100 is the hub.

Tapo has its own website!

There are two temperature sensors: T310 (tiny, without display) and the T315.

Thank you. Did work it out in the end lol

Thank you.

I hope this will be available soon:

Would be a nice Christmas present…

For your temperature sensor try using the “ZigBee Temp Sensor and Child Thermostat Mc” driver it works well with my Tuya temperature and humidity sensors.

FYI: the cheap Tuya ZigBee temperature and humidity sensors work well with this driver on ST and are cheap. Do NOT get the Tuya sensors with LCD displays.

Really , ok I’ll give that a try as sell.

Ive literally just sent one of these back as I couldn’t get it to work correctly in ST. I can find the thread about the driver but can’t actually find the driver! :grinning::sob:

Here is the link. Open link, log in, agree, enroll hub, go to available drivers, then scroll down untill you find it, install it

Thank you mate. Was goinf crazy trying to find it lol

Aqara across the board spread throughout Google Home as primary, the SmartThings, Aqara, Switchbot, Home Assistant all talking without issue.

I’m using Sonoff 02P and 02D for temperature and humidity. They have dynamic update rate - quick changes report quickly, while in steady conditions battery is being saved.

This is what put me off the Aqara temp/hum sensor - it reports once an hour no matter what, which made it useless for automations.

Both of these were run directly on the ST hub, not through vendor’s hubs. Results may vary if you did that.

Thanks. Yes I did notice what I have doesn’t update quickly. The Sonoff kit arrived today with the bridge so will give it a bash.
