Mitsubishi Electric - Split Heat Pump ST integration

Hi all, trying to get my Mitsubishi Electric system to play nice with ST. I’ve looked into Redlink and Kumo cloud options and tried out Tado smart ac control but can’t seem to get everything I want in one place. To me it seems simple enough but not having much luck and wanted to see what other we’re doing.

I’m looking to:

  • turn off units when SHM is set to away
  • geofence so when I come home, my house is at the desired temp
  • ‘Auto’ mode functionality (not just heat/cool), Dry mode would be nice too

Thanks!

  • A webcore rule should achieve 1
  • Tado at least with the v3+ app has built-in Geofence support. There was a special offer for Tado AC V1 and V2 units to get the v3+ software free of charge running til August 31st which I took advantage of, a new AC V3 unit would come with the v3+ software but require a subscription
  • The Smartthings app for Tado maybe missing some options, see [OBSOLETE] Tado (Connect) as is also the Tado IFTTT tadoº Air Conditioning Integrations - Connect Your Apps with IFTTT it might be worth contacting @Fuzzyligic regarding the Smartthings app and see if he can be persuaded to add any missing options

As I recall it is possible to add AC units to the Tado AC in two modes and one mode has different options to the other. See -
