Meross MSS630 Outdoor Smart Plug - Wiring Fault!

I just purchased this from Amazon to replace the unit that has been operating my outdoor waterfall for the past 4 years.

The replacement was acting strange…especially the indicator light that never indicated which plug was on/off. It was indicating on all the time.

I took out my electric outlet tester and discovered the neutral line is wired for hot. Not good!

I immediately ordered a return/replacement and the replacement unit displayed the same reversed Polarity. I contacted Meross tech support and they confirm there is a batch that got through with the wiring fault.

If you’ve got one of these, I suggest you test it and reach out to Meross if it has the fault.
